Andy and Sophie decided to run away from their busy lives in Sydney to Queenstown to get married. They hired a campervan with Sophie’s parents who are from the UK and told them they were going on a holiday around the South Island and only let them in  on the secret the morning of the wedding. No-one else knew! You could see how inspired Andy was by Sophie’s beauty, both inside and out. When he looked at her you could just tell he would spin the stars in the sky to give her happiness. And when Sophie looked at Andy you could see her gratitude and a mutual respect for Andy’s fast mind and kindness. It was a real meeting of equals with different qualities that perfectly complimented and supported each other.

They wanted to get married by the lake at Sunset and were granted their wish.

Enjoy.

BACK TO TOPSAY HELLO

Hamish and Alex chose a wet Autumn’s day to declare their love. And what a big love it is. Both of them simply shine when they look at each other. There’s an honest warmth that everyone around can feel, and a tenderness that runs deep within both their hearts. They know their love is precious, a gift, a wonder, and it shows in how kind and open they are with each other.  I simply loved being part of their day. This is what love looks like.

The rain came and went so we had to get creative with locations. Inside, outside in the trees, inside again, and then finally up Coronet Peak on a moody, misty evening.

I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them.

What a beautiful, beautiful couple. Thanks so much for inviting me to be there and share the moment when your lives became one.

Go well and may your love touch many more people as you travel the world together.

BACK TO TOPSAY HELLO

Jaimie and Will were fated to be together. Will was walking into a party as Jaimie was walking out and they both liked what they saw. One of their mutual friends then told a white lie to get them to swap numbers, and the rest is history. From the beginning they knew it was something real and a holiday to Queenstown very early on in their relationship sealed the deal. It was simply meant to be.
